Pow Pow

Best season in a long time they reckon. Normally it takes toward the end of the season for the Snowy Mountains to get a 2m base, but this year Perisher has had that before August. I spent three days up there and in my limited experience it's the best snow I've ever had. It snowed pretty much all day Friday, which was good, but visibility was mostly low.

Saturday was epic, and everyone knew about it. It was packed!! Sunday was good in the morning until the snow was packed down, but still the best fun.

Slightly snowy here as you can see,
on the first day

But it means this... nice! Isaac carving down

Half Arsed Issue 1

Here it is. Issue 1.
Reece Warren on the cover.
I've put a bit in to get it started and hope that
it will float itself in times to come.
This is definately not a moneymaking venture,
just some fun on the side.
I hope that it will incorporate contributions from
all over Australia, or at least the East coast.
Right now it's predominantly Canberra based
although there is stuff from
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbs and USA as well.

Copies available in Shifty's and Trilogy skateshops
in Canberra, Finnos skateshop in Pambula NSW,
and skateboard.com.au

Enjoy.

If you desperately want a copy,
hit me at: luke@skateboard.com.au

and these are two pics courtesy of
Dave Pang
of the launch night...
one with the final product and the other

is little Will winning something
from the raffle
Cheers Dave

Half Arsed zine launch

Given I post most of my stuff on skateboard.com.au I figured why not invest a little more time to create something with a little more longevity.

Damien Geary lead me to this site.
Enhance your shots to look like art. Genius.
I always loved those airbrushed covers of books.
This takes it to the next level. I love it.

Long time Canberra skateboard photographer Dave Pang is
on the cover of Concrete Wave,
Cons in the background flag waving... nice

and if you get a chance to read the
new Transworld (Lizard King Wallride on the cover),
check out the Mumford interview, sickness!
Glory Hole spot gets some coverage too!
